*spoiler* finished fine imo, the only thing I didn't like was the minor reference to them being in heaven (although they didn't say it) questions being answered would have been unnatural for the show I guess.
I wasnt raging about some unanswered questions at the end mainly due to the strange ending and the church shit: think they want you to do a slight southpark stylee 'making something out of nothingness' if you have seen the episode where they write a book that makes everyone puke ;P
The only people raging about the lack of answers are those who take things bit to literal and are convinced it all has to make perfect sense. Perhaps the events at the island dont make sense to us, but it's just a story and, to me, it succeeded at that.
I don't feel as if there are alot of unanswered questions,the show just created it's own atmosphere and it's own universe. Perhaps I'm reading things into it, but I liked the show not only because it was tense, but also because alot of it came across as symbolic for ethical struggles.
JJ Abrams is a really good director, just don't ask him to write anything more than a season long if you value your sanity. He really sucks at long-form plotlines.
I thought he was still showrunner, which means he approved the overall story - the individual episodes were written by others tho. I'm probably wrong, I didn't really follow it.
