3D ET Screenshot test #1

Hi guys

I'm thinking of doing something in 3D vision for my 3rd year project at uni and this is my first attempt using a pretty simple algorithm

you need a pair of 3d glasses to see it, red on left blue on right and using colorcode3d specifications

i got mines from channel4's 3d week on tv :p

i'm gonna work on some more versions later

how well do u think this works? 3d enough? :p

how many people are actually gonna have those glasses to tell you if it works or not
< insert over 9000 picture here >

w8 gonna get my 3D glasses which are downstairs....
buy sly 2 and get cool glasses!!
better do some nice porn in 3D and start selling 3D-glasses :D

you gonna be rich :)
give me a pic and i'll try it
Parent
seriously?

but you should keep the high resolution then :D

fuck me works well

need color correction tho

opinion?
Parent
alright, but pls a hot girl! and i dont know if you like softporn, its okay man, but i want the real deal ;D ;D
Parent
lol this is crossfire man irc me for anything better
Parent
I still got my 3d glasses from avatar but I dont see any big difference between with and without glasses....
its not the same as redblue glasses
Parent
they use polarisation to do the 3d but u cant do that with a normal pc screen
Parent
sounds interesting, but dont have the glasses :(
doesn't work with the cinema 3d glasses i got :(((
i wanted to do something with this for a movie. idea stealer!

is there anyway to use the new 3d type, as i dnt think many ppl have the old style glasses.
as in polarized?

u need special projectors for that unfortunetly

its better because u dont have to use color correction

btw im just making a test clip for a 3d thing so stay tuned, if u can figure out how to edit in 3d then u can have a go too :p
Parent
i only have the new 3d glasses and dosent work ;[
what type?

if they're coloured but using different colors then i can probably just change the algorithm a bit
Parent
the black ones
Parent
quite a few people

and so lol u aint seen her in pseudo 3d
for polarized method ;-)

im only using color methods
does the nvidia 120hz 3d thingy work in ET btw, anyone tried?
as for this i dont have goggles :(
according to their website its not supported in et

i guess u need to get the game to output the images needed to generate 3d and the drivers just allow a way of using the hardware to generate them

perhaps image-et could be adapted to use it though u need depth of field on for a good effect and image-et is too slow at that for use in game but could be used for movies
Parent
well for movies all u need is making each frame twice from 2 a bit different angles so it's not a problem i think for image-et or smth else to implement it
the problem is that all goggles are different so you'd need several versions of the movie or smth :(
Parent
yeh the goggle issue is a problem it seems to be all properitary

maybe i should make an opensource 3d format...

and well ive got a java program which does the processing necessary when i get a good megui profile i'll upload a short crappy test clip :p
Parent
ive tried using 3D with ET didnt work, worked for CoD4 with the same gfx settings and goggles.

:<
Parent
ET doesnt output the info needed remy
Parent
i know, but the graphiccard generates it for CoD4. CoD4 itself doesnt give full support. As ET has same engine as CoD4(being it heavily modified) I thought lets try :P

With the 3D support from nVidia ET has a very little 3D look(gun sticks out abit and close range enemies seem to be abit out of screen. But its very small compared to CoD4 and Crysis
Parent
i see you trollin
