Ahoi Crossfire,
To you guys these might not be so foreign but since we've such a cosmopolitan mix on here...
Anyone any recommendations for decent movies in their native tongue? Recently discovered the foreign film section of Cex 'n Amazon & it's become apparent you can buy a good foreign language movie for £3 as opposed to £10 for some shitty yank production! And I'm working shocking shifts at the minute so getting through movies at a pace.
Recent purchases include;
Sin Nombre
Ma Mere
Che
Elite Squad
La Haine
Battle of Wits
Red Cliff
District 13
Max Manus
Not really fussed on the genre - not a massive fan of horrors but near ought else! Generally French 'n Brazilian productions are worth a viewing. So any suggestions...?

Added to the Amazon wishlist - my monthly bonus comes in vouchers so it's tax free so we've plenty cash to waste!
Also, if you like Chinese films, Hero is great as well (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero_(2002_film)). Quite deep and once again delving a bit into the history of the country.
I Served The King of England ( czech movie )
Le Fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain
Das Leben der Anderen ( highly recommended )
Die Welle ( highly recommended )
Der Untergang ( although you probably have seen this one already )
Just await the cheque to arrive then we've £120 to waste :p
Also I need better adjectives than interesting :v
District 9 aswell, dunno if district 13 is from the same producer.

Ip Man looks interesting, think I've come across Oldboy before but discarded it. I found Taekukgi painfully slow!
Flodder 1 gives me pictures of a cat :p
It is not that good, just watched both parts, definitely worse than scored on imdb. Quite average piece of HK cinema.

Das leben der anderen is a very good one too, a must-watch movie. It's close of being in my top 10/15.

There was a Newsnight report on North Korea & a man being interviewed said "yes yes we many have American movies, even our enemy America we have movies, great movies such as The Sound of Music" and I lol'd and thought of you!
