Valentino Rossi faces up to three months out after suffering a "very serious" compound fracture of his right shin in Italian MotoGP practice.
The reigning world champion crashed in Saturday's first practice session for his home race at Mugello.
"It's a more serious fracture than we expected," trackside medic Dr Claudio Costa told reporters.
"It's a compound fracture involving both the tibia and the fibula. I hope there are no complications."

germany lost 5: Adler(#1 goalkeeper ), Ballack(captain), Rolfes(Ballack backup #1), Westermann and Träsch. We now have the youngest Team since 1934 (average age 24,96). plus, our coach is a total idiot. Still nobody is complaining.
furthermore: ghana lost essien, nigeria lost mikel, ivory coast lost drogba, netherlands will lose Robben as it seems. it's just fair ;)
