another aiming thing

yo !

i started using lower sens, but i think its really (too?) slow. my mousemat is a razer goliathus speed edition and i do a bit more than 180 from L to R (33cm or sth). now, i suck with mousemat, its kinda too small. lift off mouse A LOT. any recommendation for a huge mousemat?

Well, there are so called Deskpads, they are about 100x50cm in size.
Also the Ultimat Breathe are quite big, 55cm or so? Something like that.

Ja hörst du. Ich habe meine sens zwar auch wieder ziemlich niedrig im Vergleich zu früher (16cm/360 -> 30cm/360), aber sie ist immernoch hoch genug um wirklich schnell auf verschiedene Situationen reagieren zu können.

Im Endeffekt muss es jeder für sich selbst entscheiden, aber wie crumbs schon sagte, schreibt dir die niedrige sens eine gewissen Spielweise vor. Ich persönlich könnte nie wieder mit so einer niedrigen sens spielen, obwohl ich es jahrelang gemacht habe (gut, nicht ganz so niedrig, 50cm/360 ungefähr).

warum hast du denn so eine niedrige sens damals gewählt, und warum wieder geswitched nach ein paar jahren (ein paar jahre ist ja ne lange zeit)?

ich kann mir einfach nicht vorstellen, so kleine bewegungen mit der maus bzw hand zu machen, dabei schnell zu reagieren, aber trotzdem immer schön smooth bleiben. aimst du viel mit dem handgelenk/fingern?

wahrscheinlich bringt so eine low sens anfangs einen gewissen plazebo effekt mit sich.... brauch ich wohl nicht zu erklären... :D

Keine Ahnung wieso ich damals so ne niedrige sens hatte, wahrscheinlich weil ich für meine damalige Spielweise einfacher fand zu aimen, saß meistens nur auf festen Positionen. ET wurde damals ja noch leicht anders gespielt.

Dann hatte ich mich an die höhere sens und die damit verbundenen Vorteile gewöhnt und wollte die auch nicht mehr missen. Jetzt spiele ich quasi ein Mittelding, und das eigentlich nur aus dem Grund, dass ich sehr sehr wenig momentan spiele und einfach mit einer höheren sens nicht mehr zurecht käme :-P

ich hatte bisher einfach das gefühl, dass ich low spielen muss, weil ich sonst nur iwo in der gegend rumspraye und nicht smooth tracken kann.

ach ich geb es sowieso bald auf.... man wird einfach zu schnell zu alt für so games ....

i do 360 on my 29cm pad for about 5 years or w/e, i think u need at least 270 to really be able to do quick 180s either way

mhm.... is a quick 180 that important? i gain a huge advantage with the low sens i think, especially on med and long range shooting. plus i can strafe ofc.

but with doubled sens, like you and mAus and others use, i think while playing: "wtf! oO" XD

cant imagine to be really accurate on millimeters etc, so respect for you!

a low sens will dictate how you play alot, guess u will have to play quite defensive all the time cos you cant risk getting out of position, so its alot easier to get the acc and a good dmg ratio. But u cant have every1 playing like that.

yep, right. i am a very defensive player ... i just played with 330, and it feels better. dont have that much action anymore, and i can use wrist a bit more. and it doesnt make me tired that fast.

well, need to relearn now...

Solution: learn to dominate on long and medium range with higher sens, and you will suddenly dominate on close range too.

I personally use sensitivity 1, 1600dpi and default windows sens etc. Now go copy me so you can become as highskilled as I am

I'd rock 270 over your mousepad, at least. Few people play with a sens that low, and the good ones know how to play to allow that.

holy shit, i just cant play with that high sens?! i feel like a talentless idiot atm ;DDD;D;D

if you aim, and you are like 2 or 3mm next to someones head, what do you do then? with a "5xmy sens" you cant do 3mm precise quickly in a hectic situation, can you?

try some insta gib in warsow / quakelive you will have to use a higher sens to stand a chance at all, but you can train to do so, it's just about practice

another good game for flicking style is left4dead but you also get to practice tracking with the smgs... but ofc you should PAY FOR IT!!!

i dont play much other games tbh. only ET and some killing floor, but only once in a month. i enjoy osmos as well ;P

and ofc old starcraft.

i am going to try out the faster sens, i guess i will have to slow down my movements a fukcing lot and also do a fucking lot less way x)

i just got the COOLERMASTER STORM mousemat in "large" .... #

when they say large, they really meant it. its fucking enormous :P if you want a big mat, go for it.

i'd say my current mousepad is "average" and it is 45cm

puretrak which is the "next best mousepad" for a lot of people is 48cm and that's not even marketed on it's size

then you get stuff like ultimat breathe which is somewhere around 55cm and whatnot

whatever you choose, pracc it for a given ammount of time and i guarantee u will become good just like (insert your idol here) playing around with settings is wasting your current skill wasting your time and fucking up your focus
