Gaming LCD

My brother wants to buy an LCD but I don't want to change my 10 years old iiYama 19" CRT 85Hz! <3 and LCD sucks for gaming I've tried it once and it sucked badly, so suggest me some good gaming LCDs!

2233rz i cant complain about!

but make sure you are looking at a genuine 120Hz panel not two 60Hz ones in a single unit

thats life
crt samtron 17'' - 10 years also <3
playing on ACER AL1717 17" for ~6 years. Would choose it over a crt any day. Should be like ~20 E now..
I have the Acer GD245HQ, which is a full-hd 120hz monitor.

Before this I think many people will agree that I never wanted an LCD monitor because they suck for gaming due to the low refresh-rates and blurry screens (during motion). I had the Iiyama vision master pro 454 (19" CRT monitor @ 120hz) for years and years and would not let that one go due to the amazing smoothness of a 120hz crt screen.

Now that I have this lcd that is also capable of doing 120hz, I can only say that I am happy there are finally LCD's that can meet my high demands.

I suggest you wait a couple more weeks as there will be more full-hd models coming out soon that are capable of doing 120hz, so that you can make an educated choice. (read reviews, view them in stores etc.)
So is that lcd feels good ?

yup. ALMOST feels like a 120hz crt.. Not entirely but it's pretty damn close.

Is it worth the wait for future models? Your lcd seems to be more than enough and new models will probably cost a bit more due to its recent release, probably not adding anything new. :/

Well, apparently the one I have has inputlag. It's only a low number (somewhere between 0 and 15 ms or so) but it's there (not that I actually noticed though). Plus you might not like the looks of the monitor with it's orange x-winged foot. (I don't like it much as well, but heck, I needed to get rid of the huge CRT and wanted a higher resolution monitor for developing etc)

The other models coming out (viewsonic and LG if memory serves me right) will most likely not differ in price too much. May be cheaper, may be more expensive. Can't really say as the estimated prices have not been released yet.
