how to?....

hoi guys,

ok so this may sound pretty noobish and stupid, but as i didn't set up any et warserver by myself so far, i simply don't know how to act / continue.

so i'm trying to get my et warserver running etpro. i've already uploaded my etpro folder (simply the etpro folder which is on my computer) and restarted the server but still no success; hlsw says still "ET" only^^.
so i gues there is any file or command missing which i have to upload / set / type ?

and how do i update the punkbuster? do i have to download current pb files for server from the punkbsuter site or something?

any links and / or descriptions would be very helpfull guys.

seems as this is a description for a server you want to start from your own computer and not from ftp?

what level of control do you have except ftp?

you'll need ssh or control panel access to edit the startup command probably

if the server is linux there might be a .sh file on the server which is like a .bat and you can set fs_game in there but you will still need to if its linux + daemon running + etmain you could crash it using ws command and it should restart?: DD

I did not understand that really. Do you run a warserver from your own pc or do you hired a one with FTP acces and all? If the second case applies, you need to ask the host to install ETpro on their hostpc. PB updates automaticly in my expierence.

it's the server we have got from our mutligaming organization. unfortunately they haven't any experiences with et and its server ofc.

so i got the ftp acces and the ip ofc. there is also a webinterface but the only thing i can handle there is to start, stop and restart the server. pretty shit interface :S

Yea you really got to ask the org to instal the ETpro mod on that host computer. With that silly interface you prolly can't get to the rootsystem or any other folders then the Wolf ET folder on that pc.
