Gaming gear. ;o/

After having decided to buy a new PC my parents told me that they would sponsor me some money so basicly I have some left to buy other stuff.

I was wondering what mouse/mousepad/headset is currently seen as the best one ( for ET if that matters )

Atm I'm using an mx518 with a large qpad and some random €20 headset

give input! tnx;)

DEDEDER (DEATHADDER) + everglide titan
SteelSeries Xai is very nice, but since its laser u prolly will need a new mouse pad
headset: sennheiser hd515 + random mic
qpad ct with mx518/deathadder
the friction the qpad creates with my mx518 destroys the mousefeet within a couple of weeks, not something I like
then dont buy icemat
Parent
default mousefeet or something you buy for extra?

how much u play lol ?
Parent
some special mx518 mousefeet, but some years ago I got a special offer of buying a couple of hunderd of them for 25 euro, so i did that, still have more than half left
Parent
wtf, any decent feet should last quite long. At least hyperglides, steeldots and other similar ones should last more than the pad itself
Parent
not in my case apparently :D
Parent
mx518 + everglide titan monstermat + Steelseries 7H
playing with a mouse which ive bought for 2 euros, random headset for 5 euros and a random mousepad
that's why you suck Jago !!! OLOLOLOLOLOL

icemat and mx518

i haz 518 + razer mantis speed (very big one :D)
icemat means new mousefeets every 2-3 month
Parent
i dont use any hyperglidez for mx518 and i still pwn yo
Parent
MX518, Puretrak Talent, some nice headphones + clip on/desk mic.
stay with the mx518
sennheiser hd 800 ! + razer deathadder + qpad ct
Roccat Kone+Roccat Taito+Sennheiser HD215+mic
Well, you could also spend that money on something actually useful, like beer.
in fucking deed :D

educated comment

my parents are paying a really big part, I'll probabably only invest a tenth or so
Parent
USB Fatality headset, Razer diamondback 3G, Razer Mantis Speed!
Wristband.

Definitely a wristband.
get deathadder or mx518 imo. best mouses tho da > mx518
aehm ive got myself a nice everglide titan pad which is awesome.
speedlink medusa 5.1 all the way.
what u have now sounds perfect to me, except for the headset :)
ja maar die qpad is zo van dat rommelig stof, en die glides op de onderkant van men muis verslijten zo rap, best wel irritant :P
Parent
ipod ears are even perfect for games :/ except if you are talking about a "bass" sound
Parent
true, it's not for the sound quality that I might buy a more expensive headset ( although in games like COD or CS sound is way more important than in ET ), it's for how comfortable they are, sometimes my ears start to hurt after wearing my headset for some hours :'D
Parent
ik heb diee steelseries 5H V2, das wel nen chille maja heeft wel 90€ gekost ^^ as ge nen headset koopt, zie dan gewoon da diee volledig zo rond u oren gaat, da vinnek chillekes
Parent
im using sennheiserpc350
g15
and roccat kone

but the roccat isn't everyones taste i guess rather go for an ime3 (imo best mouse for ET i just dont have money nor intention to get one :XD)
puretrak talent (it's pretty much the standard "good" mousemat these days, and seems far more durable than anything else on the market)

for mouse: wmo/ime3 would be nice (and they're cheap, awesome value for money) providing you aren't too much of a lowsenser, otherwise mx518, deathadder (OLD sensor only, not the 3500DPI one), krait, diamondback... skip shit brands like steelseries

edit: didn't see you had 518, imo changing mouse isn't really worth it if you're used to a decent one already. just buy a puretrak talent and some decent headphones by like sony, audio technica, akg or something, be warned though "average" headphones are more expensive than the best gaming mice. headsets typically have horrible audio quality
after that one, me likes you ;>
Parent
Dont take headset take headpones + mic clip on. Much better sound quality Sennheiser HD555 or HD595 for example. Also better than PC350. I tried PC151 PC350 myself. I am now using HD555. They are also very comfortable.
me likes mx518 and qpad dno why you should change it :)
what meez wrote

don't buy a new mx518 though, 1800dpi version apparently works perfecly on a very few pads
And they have retarded mousefeet. Makes your mouse look like a downer.
Parent
i couldnt care less about the feet when the cursor moves to the right right faster than to the left on most pads D:
Parent
Obviously a mistake in the feet.
Parent
nah, it's sensor fault :p
