strange et pc crash

its been a while since last time i played et, and that last time was on xp on my old pc.
now i'm on win7 64bit. few months ago i tried installing it on win7, but i had huge problems with pb so i eventually gave up.
i reinstalled win7 about a week ago and i managed to install both et and pb this time. i dont get kicked now, but after ~10mins playing my pc completely freezes and only option is to restart pc.

i didnt read any et related sites for a long time and quick search didnt really help me find a solution so can someone tell me if anyone else had this kind of problems and if this might be pb problem? i dont have problems with any other program, i only experience this with et

Computer specs? Are your video drivers properly installed? Can you press ctrl-alt-del to force up the blue login/logout etc. window, so that you could see if etconsole has errors in it?

Try setting these cvars in your config, and after it has crashed look in your etmain/etpro folder for file called "logfile":
Log "logfile.txt"
logfile "1"
asus p55 mbo, i5-750, 4gb ram, 5850hd
drivers are installed properly, pc becomes unresponsive (i cant bring up task manager), logfile doesnt help as theres no info about the crash in it.
i dont have problems with any other programs or games, i only managed to come across one thread on some random forum where people suspect this is a pb problem

edit: i also checked pc temperatures after last crash, everything is running pretty cool as expected, i have a pretty good cooling system

Well, try running pbsvc.exe, IF it is a PB-problem.

Try if it happens on nopb servers too.

Check your drivers.
