should i buy a nintendo wii package

if so, what games?

super mario galaxy 1/2 look awesome, as does zelda

already have an xbox & ps3

yeh but the wii smash is slower, timing is completely different from cube smash... :)
But we usually play cube smash on wii :D

You can play that stuff on pc with emulator...

all you really need is a gamepad with 2 sticks, one for movement and the other for controlling the wiimote movements, DX9+ graphics card and Dual/Quad core 2.5 ghz+ processor, and you can play almost all games with 100% speed.

but if you have the money buy it, its worth it :)

i was talking about the quality of games, not the processor and stuff... who cares if it has worse specs than the xbox or ps3

honestly its an epic console to play for a short period of time. its better than a PS3,xbox360 when uve got friends round and shit but on your own everyone sais they just end up playing it less and less on their own.

Wii is perfect to play at group! If you have brothers / cool parents buy it! If you prefer to play alone, then get ps3/xbox

Well, i guess they are. But wii (imo) is somehow like a group console... playing alone isn't 1/10 as fun as playing in a group! Had lots of fun playing wii last summer with my friends (specially bowling :D), girls love the wii fitness btw :D

well i play wii sports resort etc. at my brother's house sometimes, it's a laugh but i don't think i'll be playing it with groups often at home

just wondering if it'd be worth buying for the sake of the single player games alone

dno, probs xbox and ps3 are advised for solo gamer but I also play sp alone sometimes.

the wii sports game are great fun and there are some other games that are nice aswell

Videogames sucks, I haven't played Xbox360 alone more than twice, and not longer than 20 minutes.

So buy videogames if you have someone to play with!

well we had one.. super mario galaxy was pretty nice but it's like mario64 you can play the story and then it's not rly naisss to play it anytime again. It's also nice if you buy some Wario Game (many minigames in it) because it's rly nice to play it with a bunch of ppl + some alc

Have a Wii, but don't use it too often. Console games just aren't what they used to be to me. I could happily sit down and play some SNES games though, but I don't really like the Wii games too much (they're good no doubt, but don't appeal to me enough for me to actually finish them).

Definitely. Also look into getting it chipped, just ordered a chip for mine the other week which cost about £45 and basically i've downloaded every game available for it which all work online etc too.

Like perfo, I have a Wii but don't play it THAT much. Prefered Xbox 360 with games such as GTA: San Andreas & Transformers: WA. But Wii is fun to play if you have lots of family members to play with or friends to pop round. Last time I played it was yesterday with my two brothers.

Recommended games:
Mario Kart Wii with the Wii wheel
Make sure you get Wii Motion Plus with each of your controllers
