pathetic referee again !!!!!!! BLACK CARD FOR HIM
Why? Kewell used his hand to stop the ball from going in. Obvious red card.
Parent
the part the ball hit was in the body, wouldnt call it obvious, kinda harsh call anyway

why didnt they view video replay to be sure? Aussies were ready for sit 'n watch
Parent
Quotewhy didnt they view video replay to be sure?

:D ?

Quotewhy didnt they view video replay to be sure?

Say what now?
Parent
I can't believe you think it was accident they watched it after in slow-mo the rule states if you move your arm in anyway and it blocks the ball whilst hitting you it's a hand ball
Parent
The question isn't whether his hand/arm touched the ball or not. The question is whether it was on purpose. I doubt that.
Parent
For you to say something like that makes me think you're from Germany.

Edit:
QuoteCountry: Germany

Oh snap.
Parent
Context? You might read the football rules again. Btw, there was a clear foul before the shoot of mensah, so the ref should have given a penalty and no red card anyway.
Parent
It doesn't matter if it was on purpose or not, he touched the ball with the hand and prevented a goal with that -> Red card + penalty
Parent
QuoteA direct free kick is also awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any
of the following three offences...

-handles the ball deliberately

QuoteA penalty kick is awarded if any of the above ten offences is committed by
a player inside his own penalty area, irrespective of the position of the ball,
provided it is in play.

If a team is fouled and retains possession, no foul should be signaled. That's one of the major rules in football, maybe you should follow your own advice.
Parent
Oh, come on. I didn't say the ref did anything against the rules, in case of he thought it was deliberately. It would have been just the best possiblity to deal the situation with sensitivity as the red card was too harsh.

Still a handball must be deliberately to get punished.
Parent
what does his country have to do with that? It doesn't really matter too much for Germany how they played, we have to win the last game vs ghana anyways.
Parent
It does matter and you know it. If Australia won Germany wouldn't have as much pressure on them because they would be able to draw against Ghana.
Parent
well, i doubt many people really expected australia to win anyways. we all knew that we will most likely have to win vs ghana.. which should be doable.
additionaly mens0 is right with the rules about "deliberately". whether it was deliberately or not is up for interpretation, that's why i'm not rly complaining about the ref's decision in this case.
Parent
so did serbia and everyone complained when we germans whined about the fact he just got yellow ....
Parent
That header would've gone in, while Vidic's handball affected nothing because Khedira was too far from the ball. Not every handball is penalized with a red card.
Parent
That's a different situation. The yellow card was fine.
Parent
The home team have had 48% of possession compared to the away team's 52%
Ghana were bad, we should have won... Wilkshire :'(
and people said "LOLOL AUSTRALIA GONNA RAPE"? Please, like they do anything other than ride kangaroos. I'm stunned Ghana didn't roll.
