I love the way they fall on the ground when they're losing, going up quickly and looking at ref with hope in their eyes. that is really what football is about :)

Games should be reviewed after a match to see whether a card was deserved or not, or whether a penalty was the right choice or (like in de Rossi's case this time) was a schwalbe. And in case of a schwalbe give the player a yellow card afterwards and take the goal away. It's fucking shameful to have to do this crappy shit to be able to win.

Na, but in tough situations they should just review it for a second / have a 2nd ref watching the game on a screen so he can review situations and give the ref on the field better input on what happened.

The call for video-refs has been done for years and years. I don't trust that it will ever be used. Which is a damned shame.

Don't think there was ever any official comment on it. Most likely response that I'm guessing is something in the lines of "It would take away the suspense of the game" or some other bullshit like that.

the problem is - it is already slow. example. there has been a shot on goal but missed a bit. television showed the replay thrice and when it ended, the goalkeeper still didnt manage to even bring the ball to the place he would be kicking it from.

any insta penalty decision should be done based on OBVIOUS foul/hand, rest should be revised by another ref with a screen, I mean come on it takes 20 seconds in most cases -.-

I'd like a system like in tennis where say the coach can challenge a decision like 3 times per halftime. This way not too much time would be wasted during the game for those checks and at the same time it would add a lot of fairness to the game.

No need to waste time at all. The checks (which can be done in under 10 seconds) can be done while the game continuous and the ref can be told the result on his headset.

You cannot take away or give a goal after the game. That would not be fair for the teams, tbh. For example (today's match), Italy and NZ would be playing differently when 0-1 and differently when 1-1.

I agree about the cards. Booking could be safely given to or taken from players after the game.

true, but seeing the results of this WC I don't think any team that goes into the 2nd round can be considered a lucky draw.

tbh I'd rather play against a good team, as this elevates the skills of your own players as well, than against a very defensive team that gives no room to play football at all.
