depends on what you want to do and how much you want to spend
well as i said it should be a beginner synth and shouldn't cost more than 600€

If you want a hardware synth, you definitely should go for an analog one. Digital synths won't really give you anything you can't do with vsts

but i don't like the analog ones ;/

hardware synths sounds more full and "hard"
if you know how to handle them :P

roland is always good.
Microkorg for sure, was saving up for one but never did. Really easy to use and good fun as well. Good value for money
99% of synths i see are korg or roland
so it have to be good - but the best are virus i've heard.
unfortunately they are quite expensive

es gibt keinen "besten" symth, manche eignen sich halt nur durch die internen routings oder wellenformen besonders gut für bestimme "genretypische" sounds

get some basic knowledge of layering and effect handling on synths and ure fine with ur vsts.

what about spending 200 bucks to get an akai apc40 controller and a decent midi keyboard and enjoy the power of "total recall".

i dont see the point for a beginner to spend hundrets of euros for expensive hardware, software synthesis is physically moddeled nowadays and nearly the same as hardware.

grüsse
what would you recommend for these basics?
some books or tutorials?
and i m not beginning - i m just a "hardware"beginner
