austrian army is retarded

when you have to do the "army-check" u get the option to sign a piece of shit paper which says that u want to go to army within the next 6 month. As i´m in school for 7-8 months i ofc didnt sign that crap. But if u dont sign this paper u also state that u dont care about when going to army. And so it can happen that you will join the army between the age of 18 or 35 when ever the army wants u to join and u cant do shit.

now i can drive to the fucking army building tomorrow to sign some other shit paper so i propably can join army in january (no free places anymore until january). means i cannot study, means i cannot get a real job.. cause in 6 months i have to go to army. awesome.. and that for a shit army which cant do crap in a real war anyway.

vor tze austrians: weis jemand ob man zum zivildienst leichter kommt? da bin ich dann zwar länger als 6 monate aber im endeffekt früher fertig :/

they will ask me cause in austria army is forced.. i could lie that i dont have to go but i´m not sure if he is able to check that or not. but the hard thing is to get any job at all... (something which isnt an idiotic crap job with crap payment)

yes.. but not like finnland (3 years i think?) but 6 months.. also u can choose between army or civil service (for example if u dont want to use weapons or what ever)

I lold @ that point :D although I feel bad for you man.. well Im lucky.. in Holland they also support the army duty and it might come within a few years (or even sooner..) but lucky enough I got a ear disease which cant be solved so I wont have to enter:) isnt it perhaps possible that you can claim for any disease (which can make you disallowed to join)? maybe thats a sollution for you? (dno if they can catch you for that tho.)

rly hard to get disallowed from joining the army.

at the army check you have a psycho test.. if you play the stupid guy u loose your driving license and are also disallowed to drive in the future or do certrain jobs

if you somehow can make the army belive u have a disease, then 2 years later u need to check again.. and some yearsl ater again and again and again,...

some are lucky with faking a disease tho

my bro used those when he got hit with a car he had nothing tho just some bruces and stuff but he said i have neck, head ache and he got lots more money out of her then normally :D

from what i heard that worked in the past.. but nowdays they will let u come for a check to the army every 1-2 years until the age of 35. And if you do stuff which you normally shouldnt be able to do (because of you disease) they will get you into the army :/

i just figured out i know some people who work for the army. like parents of friends etc.. they were able to get their children into the army sooner and to send them to really nice places.. maybe they can help me out too :)

well I got a disease since my birth.. and tbh here they do pretty easy with it.. I knew from the past it was also easy and it was even a rule that the oldest 2 members of the family (the children ofc..) had to join the army except they had a disease.. and nowdays they will continue this.. tbh I dont believe that is a benefit for everyone I heard alot of rumours about what it costed and how many problems it caused.. army supposes to be a job for ppl who had their education to it, not for inhabitants who never ever ran more then 1 mile..

i think all the running etc isnt bad for "fattys" and people without any discpline. but its not like u go to army and gain 10kg of muscles.. in fact u loose muscles when running alot.

I heard the German army nowdays is even worse! but tbh look @ the bright side.. first time you touch a SMG irl lol:D joke mate! I feel bad for you :/

no i dont thnik i can be sent to dangerous places (only if i want to stay longer at the army).
actually i think its nice to once shoot with all the weapons and learning them :P

can you also achieve anything? I knew from my uncle he's been promoted to some ranking, tho my other uncle to relegated to the lowest rank :P and can you also ask for your preferable position? like doing the outside work, or working @ headquarter or so?

Although on one hand the army is a huge economic benefit for the country I think mandatory service is absolutely retarded, army should stay for those who are too dumb(soldiers)or lazy(officers) to study :}

grundwehrdienst: 6 monate
zivieldienst: 9 monate

ich müsste also sehr bald zum zivieldienst kommen damit sich das auszahlt. ansonsten hätte ich halt 6 monate frei bzw. kann ein bisschen arbeiten und geld sparen.

Solange du eine Zusage von der Uni hast oder von deinem Betrieb wenn du gemustert wirst.Da du mit 24 oder 25 eh automatisch nicht mehr eingezogen wirst ists hier ziemlich easy kein Wehrdienst/Zivi zu machen

also erstens mal nur so am rande... es besteht zwischen studieren "wollen" und "an einer uni eingeschrieben sein" wohl ein klitzekleiner unterschied oder?

du musst nach dem abi eine betriebliche oder eine Beamtenausbildung bereits aufgenommen haben... und selbst dann wirst du lediglich zurückgestellt (T4, oder was das dann ist). von nem studium ist da keine rede

verrate mir mal bitte, wie du dich zum wintersemester an einer uni einschreiben willst, wenn du vorher schon eingezogen wirst? :D den armen razzah interessiert das sicher auch

wie wärs, wenn du dein halbwissen mit ein wenig wikipedia füllst, statt irgendwelchen müll zu replien?

Kollege von mir wurde mit 18 gemustert, noch am Abi, hat dort angerufen und wurde zurück gestellt, 1 Jahr später wollten sie ihn wieder mustern, und er war schon eingeschrieben. As easy as that. Natürlich kann man auch schreiend im Kreis laufen und hoffen das der Liebe Gott einen rettet.

kannst du dich überhaupt noch zum zivildienst umentscheiden? afair entscheidet man sich doch bei der musterung?
zivildienst solltest du vermutlich mittlerweile leichter einen platz bekommen. seit der umstellung auf 9 monate haben RK und dergleichen - soweit ich weiß - sowieso probleme genug zivis zu bekommen. zu meiner zivizeit war juli ein antrittstermin und oktober, eventuell wurde das durch die umstellung abgeändert.

beginnt man ein studium kann man afaik auch beantragen, dass der dienst aufgeschoben wird.

das mit dem aufschieben wusste ich nciht. bei der stellung meinte die: aufschiebung wegen studium nur möglich wenn man zum zeitpunkt der musterung bereits am studieren ist.

kann sein dass du eine chance hast weil sie dir nicht auf die schnelle einen platz geben können. bei einem ehemaligen schulkollegen war es genauso, der konnte aufschieben. wie das genau gelaufen ist, kann ich aber nicht sagen.

macht natürlich nur sinn, wenn du denen dann irgend ein "leiden" aufn tisch legen kannst, was sie später geld kosten könnte.

@beasty: geh mal zum zahnarzt und lass dir ne zahnspange verpassen :D sollte als ausmusterungsgrund reichen ... =( zahlt bei uns leider die krankenkasse nicht

hab das gleiche problem. ich kann erst zum 1. oktober eingezogen werden und mein studiengang fängt NUR im wintersemester an. daher kann ich schöööön ein1,5 jahre warten bis ich studieren kann und davon sind 6 monate bund. was mache ich die andere zeit ? praktikas und nebenjobs oder was ...ey zum kotzen.

erst recht wirds scheiße, wenn ich nicht angenommen werde und ich noch ein jahr warten/ hoffen kann. wenn das passiert dann weiß ich nicht mehr weiter. :[

I don´t see any harm from it for your education, I started uni on fall, went to army after 1 semester, year there, back to school, continued where I left.

And a job, it is illegal (at least here) to fire you because of the army, they have to take you back after the service.
