well i doubt he did rly know what consequences it has, and a player of ghana would have done the same probably. everyone would have. so its not close to unfair its just football.
its still football, even years ago noone would let that ball pass. and tbh i don t think its unfair, they got a great chance to still win it with the penalty. unfair is when someone is saving it without the ref seeing and punishing it. this is just the game
he saved it, he got punished the other team got the penalty. just imagine its your turn on that line with the chance to reach a wc halffinal... i bet you couldnt say for sure you let it pass ;)
oh and i wanted ghana to win aswell btw but still think like that
why did ghana deserve to win this more than uruguay? cause they were the last to present south africa? i really can't think of another reason, the game was pretty much 50/50 and was already heading to penalties - to which it eventually got. i wasn't really supporting neither of the teams, just wanted to see good football. But now since the ball got into a fumble on the very last second and Suarez saved the ball off the line with his hand, everyone seems to be hating uruguay. You know aswell as i do, that if Gyan would of scored the penalty, this case would of been forgotten already.
relativism is why this world will collapse sooner or later.
everyone does that - that doesnt mean it was right. everyone would play unfair then. cant you get it?
this was epic from a 3rd person view, thats true :D, but everyone trying to back up suarez's decision in any way (and the guy next to him too, since he also wanted to play handball) is a prick. this is plain wrong. hope suarez burns in hell for that and dont play in this world cup anymore, although im happy forlan is through! :)
Absolutely disgusting that Uruguay cheated on such a level. The ball was clearly going in and Ghana should have won at extra time. Made me sick. And all he misses is one match? Something not right :|
Why to blame Suarez? Don't get it. It's his duty to do anything to save the ass of his country. He would had cleared it by a header anyway. U can thank him that he made it more thrilling.
Funny that a striker seems to be the only one in this match not having a problem with the flying curve of Jabulani and keeping it out of the goal in this World Cup.
the thing is tho, this was not the 1st, and most probably not the last time someone plays a handball on the goalline. They were still given a chance on goal, which in most people's mind at that moment surely saw Ghana coming out as the winning side. This time it wen't the other way around unfortunately.
And hey, fine they were basically conducted a goal, but if the team captain fails at the penalty kicks that bad, then wtf?(yes i know it wouldn't of gone to the penalties otherwise, but there's not exactly a rule that forbids you from playing with your hand - unless you don't mind getting a red card.)
cheating is cheating and that's what he did to gain advantage..end of..
The WC is supposed to be a spectator event, all it does is piss people off with scenes like this...what sportmanship?
he could have saved the ball with his head
its like ronaldinho is alone in front of the goalie and someone kicks him in the face, 100% goal but a tactical foul ^^
Gonna wear URU flag for a few days to show my suport for them and Suarez. He did everything right and was punished for that. Ref did everything according to the rules, dont see why ppl are whining so hard.
thats also not my point :)
e: btw i would put him there even before the match, since i kinda dont like him generally as a player, because i watched him in dutch league few seasons ago and he needed like 10 situations to score one goal :D
don t be silly...
e: and suarez got the red card and ghana the penalty... so it was a fair chance to do it
oh and i wanted ghana to win aswell btw but still think like that
End of day who really cares?? I just need sleep!! It's still 29° in Köln and I'm boiling!! :(
dunno how it is here in frankfurt, but probably not less than in köln :D
will be awesome to sleep in that hot room...! ;<
Sleep well...

That double handball was a fucking scandal...
shame on you srsly.
gtfo suarez wnb keeper
well uruguay will lose to netherlands anyway, especially without suarez

Suarez :o
nerd wasting my time
i aint 100% sure who hitted the ball after this but this looks like 2 people are offside
e: the one infront hitted him with his head
bringing it to one clear point
Does that mean it was okay to do that? Interesting.
the rules say a player cannot touch a ball with his hands. so how is that okay?
Should be banned for 3 WC matches, including the next WC.

stop whining people, anyone who claims to not have done that im his place is a damn liar
ghana just had to score the penal(s)
