I was dissapointed on the other hand. Seen him play much better in the French league. He needs a more attacking role imo, like a winger. Also, I was hoping to see his great trademark freekicks, but he didn´t deliver... Nevertheless, one of my favourite players.

Perhaps he always had to get the ball all the way back, but he still always managed to get to the goal :D

And ofcourse most players play better in a club if the national team rather relies on individual skill than on teamplay :p

Only good match was vs. Nigeria, that was Messi for me!!

van Bommel is a bastard indeed, he makes lots of fouls and often tries to make it look like the other guy did it. He did the same in Champions League against Lyon. He put his knee into the other guy's thigh and made it look like he got fouled.
