I would only include Özil if he performs well against Uruguay. He was simply too nonexistant against Spain to receive the title "player of the tournament".

Schweini / Xavi / Iniesta / Villa / Forlan, either one of these 5 would be good for me.

he was not in the same shape as we know him but he still was a keyplayer for Argentina...
imo there was just a guy like milito missing in the offense who could catch messis passes

maybe he didn't "play shit" but look at it from this perspective: if it wasn't messi but some other player, noone would have noticed "this player" being special and outstanding in the team. he played average just like the rest of the team, nowhere near extraordinary. if it was someone else, noone would have considered to put this certain player in a "players of the tournament" list.

no, not at all...

he is extremly safe with the ball, really fast and has a great overview
he always manages to shoot really dangerous passes into the offense but there usually needs to be one to pick them up and against germany there was just an awesome german defense...
so it looked like he was not good

actually I think messi played just well (but could better ofc), on the other hand, team around him was pure shit. All the time i saw messi playing, opponent needed 3 players to defend him, but the rest of team was not able to take an advantage of it. Maybe he was not top scoring player, but he did his job done, rly well done I would say

Germany Schweinsteiger was good, I also liked Uruguay Forlan and Germany Mueller has surpsised a lot aswell, but afaik he's nominated for newcomer of the tournament!?

Dont really understand why Netherlands robben is on the list, didnt surprise me that much, seen him play better..

Would go for Germany Schweinsteiger or Netherlands Sneijder
