Pique Spits At Former Valencia President

With the Spanish players drinking from the moment Howard Webb blew the full-time whistle in Soccer City it was no surprise that there were plenty of high jinks throughout the celebrations in Spain - as was seen when Pique and Carles Puyol forced a Barcelona shirt on Cesc Fabregas.

At a certain stage of the four-hour celebratory World Cup winning bus ride, Pique was stumbling around the middle of the open top bus with Carles Puyol, Cesc Fabregas and Victor Valdes all seemingly warning him to keep things in check.

Pique, struggling to control himself at this point, turned around and sent an almost picture perfect volley of phlegm on to the shoulder of Pedro Cortes, the former Valencia president (between 1997 and 2001).
