Everything was going Andy Schleck's way until he dropped his chain on a climb resulting in a loss of more than 40 seconds to Alberto Contador's group. While Schleck kept his composure, he was not able to make up the loss even on the descent. Not happy with Contador's decision to pass, an unhappy Schleck told Versus following the race that it's not up to him to decide what is fair or not fair and that he would not have taken advantage of a fellow rider in such a situation.
Hence, we ask, was Alberto Contador wrong in taking advantage of Schleck's maintenance issue???

I think not, shit happens and even if Schleck said he would not have taken advantage of another riders mishap, in reality he most likely would have.

It's a sign of weakness from Contador imo.
Atleast Andy will be really motivated now.
It would be nice, if the same thing would happen tommorow to Contador.
Than Andy will not wait for him either, what comes around goes around.

If he fell off etc, then yeah he would be right to carry on but, as it was a mechanical fault, I think he was wrong. I've never liked AC and I hope Schleck smashes him in the remaining stages

I dont know if this is a tradition in cycling - and if yes then he should wait. But in my opinion, if oppo's bike breaks down, there is no reason why you should wait, it is his problem.
