Not sure if this was shown on the continent, so prolly Brits only...
There was a TV show on BBC2 a few years back, a computer game of old battles that they played. Sorta Civilisation come Age of Empires - you had to make tactics & then control your army to beat the computer.
Any ideas if this was ever released as a game?

(Closest I've seen = Rome - Total War)
I thought you needed like 3 people to play that and some huge interactive board with little figures on ;x
I don't remember figures, was sorta 3D on a table though o0

Was preety cool and there was talk of doing the same thing with Warcraft 3 and AOE but it must have been binned.
however in the TV series they used a slightly diffrent engine which is not avalible
shogun better than rome but too short
