"It's like playing against a hardcore bot or something. He doesn't time items, he jumps around without strafe keys but if you fight him he rages your face..."
well i play defrag/cpm because of physics so would say: movement, but bollocks it is :f
both are important but there aren't big differences between top players. so basically you have to do something more when match is tight: predictions, positioning, being unconventional, using map's advantages etc. every detail is important, i wouldn't say its about this or that.
i realize it sounds broadly but hey, basically this is it - you have to 'grind' every aspect of game.
and whats does timing mean exactly to you? for me its about picking up items, nothing else. trying to figure out what will be his next move (not talking about trajectory) is more like psychological thingy.
+ sometimes you just have to let him pick up in order to get better position to shoot, still i wouldn't call that timing, just outsmarted.
Prediction is basically a synonym for timing. And positioning is useless without timing. When people talk about timing, it's everything related to timing on items and getting them, not just learning how to count to 30 :D
e: with my flag it looks like actually i care, hah ;d
