just ordered one, is it any good? :P

had some random headset (called sandberg, wtf is that??) for long time and was waiting till it dies...but no, its still working after 3 years. i dont like it, doesnt hit in head n stuff like other cheap headsets so it was time to buy new one since i got some spare money

From my own experience I can say, that if you are planning to use it also for smth else than gaming, that headset sux rly hard. Its good ingame, but it wont give you anything more than any other headset in same price range (ingame!!! for listening to music, watching movies etc are others muuuuch better). You should have gone for Icemat Siberia (today its Steelseries Siberia i think), it has incredible sound performance for smth which was supposed to be a gaming headset. Or some sennheisers wouldnt be bad too.
EDIT: kinda smart to order that shit first and then ask for its performance :D

wouldnt change my mind even though xfire says it sucks, just asked opinions about it

well, on one hand, its durable (for many gamers its a must since they are not rly gentle to their pc gadgets), can be decomposed therefore its easier to cary it to lan, it permorfs great ingame and has okish mic. On the other hand, it performs less than bad when it comes to listening to music or watching some DVDs and basicly overall its sound performance is rly low. Even headphones like koss porta pro or koss ksc75 sounds better. I bought it because i thought it will cancel ambient sound, well, i was terribly wrong and i would never buy it again, its not worth of that money. But, its ur decision, ur money, ur mistake :)

It's a great headset. I had some issues with my old headsets because they broke after a while of use, and didn't really put up with wear and tear. I figured that I'd invest a good amount of money to make sure my next headset didn't end up that way.

I've head my 5h v2 for about six months now and I love it. Some headsets start to hurt the top of your head after using them for a while, but the v2 is always comfortable even after using it for over an hour.

The sound is great, and I never really notice any problems hearing anything while ingame. The mic quality is also very good, and more than good enough for vent communication.

The best thing about the headset in my opinion is the durability. The cord is cloth which means it won't get tangled, and even if it gets caught somewhere it doesn't fray or break. I had the cable get caught underneath the rolling wheel of my chair and get pinched inside, and then I accidently yanked it very hard trying to get it out. Other headsets might have pulled apart or broken, but the v2 held up nicely. I think it should last a while, and I'm definitely happy with the investment.
