Police +Back from the AEF ZOO

(some shit about failed booking @ hotel comes before this but not relevant just annoying)
Basically Owzo threw up in the bed the first night, so he took all the sheets off and put them on the floor outside of our door the next morning for the housekeeping.
So we went to LAN, we come back bout 18.00 or 19.00 can't remember, try to get in our room electronic wouldn't work, we were like wtf we've paid for 3 nights in adavance.

Go down to the desk talk to the guy there he goes yeh some1 vomitted and sheets were dirty, this is gonna cost you 150€ for the drycleaning, which excessively large amount. So I asked if i could see the drycleaning bill but the man didn't want to give it... At that time we were like ffs hotels normally don't whine bout that shit and it wasn't that bad but lets just pay.

So Owzo went to get the money, when he comes back with 150 but then the guy at the desk goes "Yeh you also have to pay city tax which is 3 euro's per person per night" so that would be another 36 euro's. At that time i was like i think we're being ripped off here, so i told him we're gonna ask some ppl if this is right.

I believe unblind then phoned with krosan adacore and overdrive to confirm if there was even such a thing as city tax (later turned out to be tourist tax which they apperently forgot to bill us for at first so we had to pay that in the end), but these ppl said didn't know about this.

So i went to the guy and said "well i think you're trying to rip us off here and i would like to see a copy of our contract + your general terms of service" to which he simply replied no you can't.... and wouldn't let us in our room to get our stuff

At this point (about 1 or 2 hours had passed from when we first got there) we went to the police, who basically said: they can't keep your luggage but we can't involved in the whole money situation cuz its a civil matter. And you guys are being fairly reasonable about the whole drycleaning situation. They also suggested to go to the hotel next door to get some info on the city tax etc.. And if the hotel doesn't give back our luggage we should call them and they'd send a unit over.

So we went to the hotel down the street to get some info on the taxes and what they do to the sheets. Turned out to be a really nice hotel with possibly the nicest ppl at the desk i've ever met in my life.

I went and explained everything to the 2 girls who were really friendly and told me they're not sure about the tax, it might have just been the tourist tax and that they may have forgotten to bill us for that in advance. But the drycleaning thing they thought was a rip off, cuz you can get vomit out in the laundry quite easily and normally they wouldn't even make you pay for it if they couldn't.

So at this point we were like yeh rip off lets try and get our stuff back and gtfo of that shit hotel and just get another one. Problem being we'd already paid for another 2 nights @ shit hotel.... So one of the girls was so nice as to call up the shit hotel to make a fake reservation and to see if she could get her money back if she'd paid in advance and to see if she had to pay the same amount of taxes, (so we could say: "you've billed this woman for this much, and she cancelled her remaining 2 nights and she got a refund so we want one too").

Basically shit hotel said they didn't give money back if she had paid for 2 nights but left early, so we knew we were fucked there. She then gave us a good offer for the executive suite with 4 sleeping places and some other room with an additional 3 sleeping places. So we decided to get that (basically Adacore decided to get those, much love Ada).

We were then on a mission to get back our luggage, so went back to shitty hotel and unblind went to do the talkin to the man @ the desk (i'd been doing this all the time seeing im dutch and i could just talk to every1 in dutch, but at this point i was quite desperate and down so unblind took over). The man at the desk basically went you're not getting your shit back and stop talking to me im eating, and then he walked away to eat his cereal (no joke).
So unblind went: well we're calling the police then! And the man just said fine.

So i called the cops, they took quite long to get there (about half an hour), and they were really friendly. So long discussions followed, 2 extra policemen (4 total). The owner of the hotel thought she had the right to keep our stuff which basically isn't so.

Policeman asked me are you gonna pay the 150? I said no and he said allright, we can get your stuff back but you're prolly not gonna get the other 2 nights you paid for back and you're gonna have to pay the tax. We agreed on that (we basically didn't wanna stay, cuz we knew we were gonna get screwed over if we just paid and stayed there, cuz they were prolly not gonna clean our rooms and blame us for loads of bs). So we were gonna lose that money but didn't have to pay the 150.

Still we had to wait quite sometime untill we were finally allowed in the room with 2 policemen, and we got our stuff back (thank fuck everything was still there).

And that was that.

So to summerize: They tried to charge us 150 euro's for a couple of sheets (ROFL). We paid them in advance for 3 nights, slept there 1 night didn't get the money back for the 2 other nights. Had to pay the 36 euro extra tax, didn't pay the 150. And got all our stuff back. Got the executive suite, which still had to pay for, but a good deal (with 2 tv's, and a meeting table!) in the other hotel with 2 nice girls at the desk, where 1 of em was pretty much into me.

Still fun LAN, shit first hotel!
