Cheapest way of getting to the US?

Looking to get to Las Vegas for as cheap as possible. It cost me close to €700 last time and Id like to pay half of that. Would it be better getting a flight to some shit hole in America then getting a commercial flight to Vegas? Anyone anyone experience with it?

/facepalm
Nearly all flights from Ireland dont go directly to Vegas

What about going to another airport in the UK and fly with some cheap company from there?
Parent
ye k, i don't understand ppl who love to go there.

my point was: when u haven't enough money then you won't have fun in vegas imho.
Parent
Have you been before? I spent so much last time but was worth it, Id actually know how to budget properly this time.
Parent
no, i'm not the guy for such things anyway. i understand your point now :)
Parent
You'd really have too see it to believe it :), its not all gambling
Parent
i don't like lambency ppl and i guess everything is show there.
the buildings are counterfeit examples.

except the rock-music there. thats what i want to "feel".
but all in all at the moment it's not the right time for me to go there :)
as you see not only cause of the money :>

wouldn't it be cheaper to get a flight to NY then a domestic from NY to LV?

i would assume a flight from ireland (or w/e) to NY wouldn't be as bad due to the closer proximity..
Kilroy imo, 2006 it was around 700€ to NYC (flights + accomodation @42th street, 9 days) Though it was a group price (17 ) per each.

+ try to connect inner-state-flight from bigger port, will be cheaper.
just do as the Cubans do, go with a little boat to US.
try last minute flies

From dublin to vegas and back for half of 700?

Register to go on standby and pray .. hard..
Well, I dont care how i get there really, I could get to the US for around €250 - €300 the get a connecting flight

cheapest way of getting anywhere is standby. sister went to australia for some ridiculously cheap price compared to the full price. was atleast under half of the full price ticket. u just have to be wiling to wait for hours and hours and maybe days. boring and very inconveniant but cheap :)

FYI: ryanair are doing trips now where u pay an unreal low price but u have to stand up the entire way. no way u would wana do that to america. maybe on like a 1-2 hour trip :D

Whaaattt... thats crazy, is that not a health hazard?
Parent
i duno how many flights are actualy running this service ive just heard that some are trying it out. seems good for short flights i duno if there doing long haul ones.
Parent
HEALTH HAZARD FROM STANDING AROUND?! Lazy fucking irish.
Parent
one should sit on the toilet during the whole flight :)
Parent
at least you shouldnt fly if its holidays because the companies raise their prices if the demand is raising and lower them if its decreasing.
ryanair :D

but uncomfortable :> (it is possible to sleep ! but not easy, since you dont have much space
