It's very very smooth, if you have decent mousefeet and if your mouse isn't scraping on it because too low, it will feel like you're gliding on a cottonfield :P
It has a very low static friction, contrary to lots of pads who seem to "stick" a little bit
You can wash it in the washmachine :) and it comes just as good as new
It doesn't wear off (assuming the good mousefeet and no scraping), unless you're a retard like me who tried to wash it with a soft brush...

I used to play on an icemat because it's the best glide available, but the talent is so much more comfortable that would never go back. If you want an intermediary pad between, the xtrac hybrid seem to be the best compromise (tested from abort's lan setup :P)

well that's just what i think, some guys find the talent too slick while some other find it too slow, or just don't like it for some obscure reasons.
