ET FPS Problem <3

I've recently bought myself a new screen (and therefore sacrificed all my musclememory, but that's not the essence of the problem here), and I've kind of noticed that going up from 1680x1050 to 1920x1080 did NOT lower my FPS. I usually have around 80-100 in open areas and stable 125 in corridors. For a little test, I went down to 1280x1024 and the FPS did not change.

My renderer settings:

My PC specs:
CPU: AMD Athlon x64 Dualcore 2.69GhZ
RAM: 3,25GB
GPU: GeForce GTX 275

Do not think any more hardware specs are relevant to my FPS, if yes, tell me and I'll fill them up. In fact, I think this comp should be way more than enough to have 125 stable everywhere since I have 250 stable on CoD4 with Full HD resolution.

So does anyone have an idea why my FPS are not 125? Thanks for your help :)

//edit: Threaded optimisation is off, still falls to 90~100. There must be another reason too.

disable threaded optimisation @ nvidia control panel
Thank you, will try and report in in a few mins :)

e: looks better already, but still falls to 90~100 in certain goldrush areas. Thank you :)

do u have 1 screen connected to PC?
Parent
Yeah, only one.
Parent
dunno then,
btw try older/newer driver. I got 195.55, works fine and when i tried some newer beta i had few problems
Parent
r_mode 6
Getting 250FPS on Full HD CoD4, then my PC must be able to handle 125 with ET on the same resolution...
Parent
Completely different games/engine but still shouldn't be a problem getting 125, even with that CPU. Tried running on a different core and changing various settings @ nvidia control panel?
Parent
I have assigned ET to different cores and I've set PunkBuster to the other core as well.
Parent
u should check is there weird packs in ur et folder.
r_mapoverbrightbits 3

brighter = more stable
r_lodbias "-666"

God hates ET.
displayrefresh @ 85?
weird

Delete the " at the begin and end ;)
it might will work
don't have them in my cfg, I just did this to mark where my cfg begins and where it ends.

r_mode doesnt effect to fps much, i had only like 10 fps difference between r_mode 8 and 1.. and ET requires a lot more than CODs :l

try this, might push your FPS.
If not, play with the r_mode setting.

r_mode "-1" => COSTUM (if used r_customwidth, r_customheight will be used)
r_mode "0" => 320x240
r_mode "1" => 400x200
r_mode "2" => 512x384
r_mode "3" => 640x480
r_mode "4" => 800x600
r_mode "5" => 960x720
r_mode "6" => 1024x768
r_mode "7" => 1152x864
r_mode "8" => 1280x1024
r_mode "9" => 1600x1200
r_mode "10" => 2048x1536
r_mode "11" => 856x480

dont forget to set these comands right,

seta com_forcefps "100"
