its amazing..best manga, ive seen so far ;) its about a very intelligent guy who has his own shinigami and a death note ( book ). when he writes names in his book, the people die. this is how he tries to clean the world from bad people...but well the police has something against this and they try to catch him....and ye the police has 1-2 very smart people too ;)

Naruto is more like an endless string of episodes, that are mostly filler. It's the Dragon Ball Z of our time.
I'd add "Baccano!" to that list of "real animes" as well.
And I don't like berserk as an anime, the manga is much better ;)
Never watched baccano! though, tried twice but at least the beginning is boring :D
