The intro & the drums different songs - coincidence / similar music style prolly, just made me google to make sure Roy Buchanan was never in Pink Floyd :p

listening to shine on you crazy diamond I can see what you mean, yes. again, 70s synths give both of them a cosmic kind of sound. I don't think there's any ripping off intended here. both written in the same time period, so yeah probably just a coincidence.

from Roy? his early works are the best, i don't like his newer 80's stuff that much.

"Second Album", "Live Stock", "You're not Alone" are good. for compilations, Sweet Dreams - The Anthology is good.
