Thats bollox, what do you think sends images from the CPU to the Monitor? The CPU? Don't be so stupid. I have a 3.0GHz DC CPU, and a crappy intel GPU, so by your theory, I should get lots of FPS? I think your basing your information on what you have read, and not what you know. Everything uses every peice of hardware in any application, otherwise, why have peripherals? GPU / CPU need to work together, they need to be equal, you can't offset a shit GPU with a powerful CPU, or vice versa.
ET is more CPU dependant, than it is GPU, thats to do with the time it was created. Pentium III's where top notch at that time.

well he's not completely wrong. atm et works quite much on the cpu. that's why some guys are about to develope et xreal which is supposed to use more of the video card for the rendering.
He's wrong in the sense that ET doesn't use GPU at all, but I have an Nvidia Geforce Go 6150 card which is utter crap, let's be fair :D, yet my CPU speed determines my FPS.
Same went for my Intel GMA 945 laptop ...
I tested it frequently. I changed CPU speed and saw my FPS change with it. I changed graphics and graphics settings and nothing changed.
There has to be a simple balance between both chips, not one or the other can determine how well it performs, now it doesnt make any diffrence to me what you or anyone else thinks, but I thought i'd try and help you by providing facts, clearly people are too sturborn to listen. I take back everything I said.

But you must have had a REALLY shiity onboard, since even my shitty onboard renders it with ease since only CPU affects FPS for me.
