extract audio from a mkv file

hi,

does anybody know a program that`s able to extract the audio stream from a mkv container with mp3 audio and (if that even matters) x264 video?

since the audio stream is already encoded it would be great if it wouldn`t get re-encoded.

cheers

Loading the video into adobe audition usually does the job for me
hehe, didnt try that before. let´s see if it does the trick

edit: lol, that was fast. works :D awesome that audition can handle mkv, eventhough it isnt in the list of supported file types^^
edit2: :( audition cant save the audio "lossless"

i had such a tool a couple of weeks ago, can't find it again, need it aswell :(
i used it to extract audio from >200 15m clips and it only took a couple of seconds per clip - and it supported command line options for batching
it turned out that audition couldnt do the trick, but the solution beggin posted worked out perfectly.
the tools you need is mkvtoolnix + the addon he posted (mkvextractgui). copy the files from the the mkv extractgui into the mkvtoolnix folder and youre ready to go :)
