Best settings for movies?

I'm looking for the best settings for having the best/highest experience-quality on the PC (besides the fact having to download a 1080p movie and a screen)
Programs?
Settings?
Codecs?

For windows7, cheers.

- settings? depends on codecs, players, format etc (e.g for 1080 mkv i change codec for coreavc + turn on CUDA etc)
- cccp (dont listen to agon and his k-lite bollocks ;D)

+ you could try kmplayer, included codecs like @ vlc, but its one of best players (unlike video lan).

Doesn't coreavc cost money? And afaik when I'm doing a fresh insall, I need codecs and program that also allown subtitles
I currently have shark007 as a windows7 codec, but honestly movies look extremely shit and I have no idea why

with proper codecs you will be able to launch every single format @ every single player (which doesn't have own codecs) with lossless quality. + you can always mess with players settings

i have no idea how does it look @ windows7 so my advices are pretty pointless but like i mentioned: try kmplayer (at least it works @ ur system, unlike codecpack i recommended).

Mpchc is a class so I will use that. Kmplayer is a codec or a program? I'm really afraid I will Lose quality. I remember I watched 1080p movie and I was blown away. But somehow now it looks just crap. No idea why, so I'm doing a fresh start.

like i said, kmplayer is a player with codecs included. it won't mess anything with your previous codec packs or anything like that. just install and enjoy.
