hunkmegs stick to default settings

hi there

I've got a problem with my hunkmegs. It stays on 56 while I want it to be on 512 or more, but I keep getting an error : It stays on 56 and it states "Latched :512" ( or whatever number I type in.) vid_restart and ET restart aint doing anything.
I tried editing it in the etconfig which etpro loads first, i editted it in the config i exec afterwards, nothing works.
