Thought so too. But now it's 23.4.2014 and I've played a total of 5 days, 5 hours and 57 minutes. On one savegame only. And if you ask me, the game is most fun if you try to find great young players.
Another striker? With Neymar you already have one of the best there'll be. It's difficult to find decent CD's but if you can afford him I would sign Mexes, he's a beast and still getting a lot better. So if I were you I would rather get a good Central Defender than another striker (and if you plan on signing Balotelli anyway, make sure to get rid of another striker).
I'm kicking Jo away ofc, and Adebayor is so shit to me
I can't sing Mexes, they won't negotiate with him and no matter how much I offer they don't accept
so I bought Kjaer until I have funds next season
I had the chance to sing Kjaer for 9M euros(they offered him to clubs LOL), but after successful negotiations I had to play vs Fulham where they pwned me 4-1 and the team sacked me lol, so I restarted (they sacked me again a hour ago when I lost to Wigan, fuckers)
Bayer Leverkusen offered me Adler for 9M. I happily agreed and now he's goalkeeper of the year and worth 27M. Probably the best deal I've made in the entire game.
Do you want to start a new game or move to 'Pool within that game? Getting a job at your favourite club is pretty hard. They have to sack their coach and it barely ever happens (at least with you noticing it). The only decent job offers I had in 4 game years was Barcelona and Brazil.
Coaching Brazil, awesome lol
I don't think whiting this game, ever since FIFA and PES manager mode days everytime I wanted to coach a new team I'd start a new team...Never continued
How can you have Dodo? He's complete trash, I signed him in 2009/2010 and he barely improved. I ended up selling him in 2013 or so. All he had was speed. :/
If you want a proper full back you're better off with Criscito.
Matuidi is awesome though.
If you want a proper CB, get Otamendi or David Luis. Then again in 2013/2014 those two are probably going to cost you a lot.
In 2009-2010 they're not old though. :P I haven't played FM2010 in many, many months (waiting for 2011) but on my 4th season 2 or 3 of the players in my starting lineup were gens.
I only have Colapietro and Ilies as starters usually. Colapietro is 17, Ilies 18 but both don't play too well at the moment. Thank god I still have Gomez. Scored 26 goals 2 games before season ends and became Fan's favourite player this year, so he has good chances of becoming the official player of the year. He managed to raise his value from 9M to 19.75M in one year.
The problem with gens is they never do well on their first season. I only use gens in cup matches and the like during that period if I plan on putting them in the starting lineup in the near future.
On their second season they usually don't do too badly (I rotate them within the first squad) and by the time they're almost 18 yo their performance should be very consistent (I only hire gens younger than 18). One of the gens I had was an Italian DM I hired from Napoli when he was about to turn 16 and before he turned 18 I had already replaced Gago with him. If he hadn't done so well I would've bought Matuidi.
I'm surprised your 18 year old gen isn't playing well, at that age most gens can even play big matches fairly well.
If I had kept playing I probably would've had about 5 or 6 gens in the starting lineup by my 6th season. Unfortunately my laptop's hdd fried and my save file went kaput. :/
Well, he played very well when I got him but now he hadn't scored in 700 minutes or so (same with Lukaku). The only one netting right now is Gomez. I don't even know how I could boost their performance really.
My forward gen (French 16 yo from Auxerre) had 16+'s everywhere except for speed/accel, was worth 15M and didn't score in like 7 matches in a row. I got fed up and put him on the bench and only played him in small matches during the rest of the season. On his 2nd season he started on the bench and moved to the starting lineup midway through the season: he averaged over .5 goals and .5 assists per game (I played him as a second forward, next to Cardozo) with a rating well over 7.
I've never actually bought Lukaku, is he worth it? I heard that despite his stats he isn't all that great. You should've just gotten Cardozo on your first season, he's a beast and can score well over 40 goals throughout the year, he's the perfect target man AND he scores from free kicks.
He played well in the beginning, but now he's in a deep low. He pretty much single-handedly won some important games for me. Hang on, gonna post some screens.
Odd, his average rating didn't even drop that much, he's just not scoring. Try playing him in only small/cup matches for most of the season, that always works for me when I want youngsters to improve their performance and morale.
Eh, didn't know that because your tactics only showed one striker. :P I used to play with a 4-1-1-2-2 (1 DM, 1 box-to-box CM, 2 wingers, 1 second striker and a target man) and it worked quite well. Have you tried playing Gomez as a second striker with Lukaku as a target man? Unless Gomez can't play as one, I can't remember how his stats were.
he has skills but i wanna see him play in 5 years, when he plays against opponnents who can actually play football instead of wannabe 7 year olds who just play at big teams because their daddy was somebody in the game or their daddy is sponsoring
I suggest: play a little longer and wait for regens:
My second year...Already signed Kjaer since my defence is pure shit, and thinking of approaching Balotelli.
Opinions?
I can't sing Mexes, they won't negotiate with him and no matter how much I offer they don't accept
so I bought Kjaer until I have funds next season
E: And Jô seems logical idd. Just checked on my savegame, he's not getting any good really.

And the player you suggested are too old for me because I'm pretty much running a no-signings-over-21 policy.

His decrease in two years. Check the bottom.
From 26 goals in 32 games to 10 in 31 :/
