Grey hound coaches rock!!

So grey hound coaches have recently come to the UK and i'm having to take one from b'mouth to London today because my car is broken and i have to get to work

ok so its a little pricey at £10 one way but for that you get a leather seat, wifi, more leg room than a fat guy could ask for (maybe coz its an american company) and its pretty quick too.

Also its quicker and cheaper than National Express (who have the most dangerous coach drivers in the world) but they only operate from a few coach stations.

Anyway I'm quite lucky that they have a couple of stops in my home town and one outside my work in London and i'm able to troll on crossfire on the way up XD

the only down side is the wifi seems to keep cutting out for some reason, i'm guessing its because the bus is in an area with no signal, so I can see regular travellers have brough 3g dongles to get around that. Although if I had more work to do which didnt involve the internet it would be ok.

I find the best way to deal with coaches is sleeping. This one time I spent four and a half hours on a National Express coach (well, return so twice) but fortunately I was asleep for around four of them.
well i get travel sick quite easily so sleeping is not so easy when i'm moving. also its day light so that doesnt help either

although u are right, i might try in a bit when ive sorted out how to get the sockets working so i can charge my laptop

How long is the journey? Can't imagine it's something I'd want to do very often.
Parent
2.5 hours and then 1 hour to get back to my flat after work

car is best place to sleep, I fall asleep so easy. the engine humming and stuff. some shaking just like when you were a baby and ya momma was rocking the cart.

you make fun of that but it actually happend to me once :< well not really sleeping long but i was gone for a few secs :p woke up at the other lane :s
Parent
Actually I was referring to a situation when someone else is driving :D

in fact, this fits exactly to the story when I got my first car. I had driven half an hour when I fell asleep. I wake up because there's bunch of rocks hitting the bottom of the car, I was very close to the ditch. I make some evasive action that barely keeps me on the road :P

Cheaper than nation express O_O I usually pay <£10 from Cardiff to London when I go up, seats are average but my head is usually sunken in a few chapters of a book to even notice leg room, whining passengers and all that :PPP
the hungry caterpillar is indeed hard to put down!

At least I can read breadman :D

depends if national express are doing 'fun fairs' and the route etc...

but for the time of travel national express was £20 one way and took 3/4 hours (depending on the exact bus) where as grey hound was £10 and 2.5 hours (though with traffic it was 3)

They don't have a single place in Scotland where they travel. For that reason, I'm out.
this isnt dragons den :p

though they're new to the UK, i guess they will do a london to Glasgow route at some point
