hey
i wanted to put my computer in another room of my house but there i don't have a internetcable and it's too long way to put one from my router to that room. So i'm trying out a W Lan at the moment. It works pretty fine ... i have a good ping about 50 but sometimes i get a short lag. Every 2nd minute or so.
Now because i'm a WLan and network-hardware noob in general i wanted to ask you if it's possible to get some better hardware which does not bring me this lags. Or do you know somebody who plays with WLan without problems or anything...
thanks anyway

30-40 Sign Strength
i dont know, i have one of the newest router...
-Rightclick My Computer -> Manage
-Services and Applications -> Services
Now you should see a huge list of services. Find something like
"zero function wireless connection" or "zero connection wireless" or something like that... dunno how the english name for it exactly is.
the descriptive text right to it contains something with 802.11
-> doubleclick (aka open , LOL!) -> disable and set it to manual.
reboot and np.
HF playing without lag :[
it works kinda good... i have a ping of 50 and some times it goes up to 90-100 but that's ok for me =) *cheers* <3
