WOW what a amazing movie ! i mean it's not that i didnt expect a brilliant movie from martin scorcese though, but i didnt see the end coming
definatelly a must-watch and also highly underrated at imdb imo...
but one thing would have even be better:
the film should have ended in the light house scene, because the end would have been open and everything would have been possible, but that would maybe also drive some people nuts (including me :D)
i mean the chance is still there, but its now more like 90% insane -10% sane
the little rest still keeps everything possible, but actually the ending was pretty conclusive :<

and say that scorcese films are rubbish to my face and i kill you
so either he can have the brain surgery (and be a good man, but dead because he would have no feelings anymore)
or live as a monster - don't have the surgery
but the fact that he realises that he's insanse makes him sane imo :p
"Which would be worse, to live as a monster or to die as a good man? "
would an insane man say that?
Btw, never understood why one of the nurses/ patience wrote to d'caprio while he interrogated her, to run.
the thing with the run could be either because it's part of the story the doctor plays due to his recovery plans or it's the real story thing...dunno
With all that bs, you can't really tell if he's sane or not. Which made the movie great for me... even though I had to watch it from the first row :(
e: saw trailer
