After posting my problem that ET kept crashing my pc , well i found out that my gfx was mal functioning but now i cant even start the computer up without it crashing.
My computer is really old (look profile to see if ya want) so ive decided to get a new one.
My budget is 400-500 euros (i'm studying at college and work at mcdonalds so... :P) , i would like it to be decent enough to play some decent games with decent fps.
Can anyone help me out? Will be appreciated.
Cheers

using my brother's one, paid it 500€, and can't run ET @ 125 FPS, and every game I play low graphs
Depending on the chosen gfx card, that setup will run gta IV on high textures + high resolution without much problems, and every recent game should be playable easily.
I'd buy a new one also, for €1000, would I get something good?
I didn't check the prices but I think you could get:
i7 series 9***
6 DDR3 from a decent brand
high end mainboard from gigabyte
nvidia gtx460 (best perf/price) or radeon hd5850 or 70 if you want even better perfs (but i'm a bit of a pro nvidia since they offer better linux support, better drivers, better opengl perfs)
a good 600w or more alim from corsair
case + optics
this if you have a decent screen (crt...)
If you don't have a decent screen, i'd take a 120hz lcd (the LG :P) and lower the others components. If it's only a gaming PC, i would even take an AMD proc if needed :D.
But well, as I don't plan to upgrade my rig soon, I'm not really up to date on the best perf/price components.
