As the topic says I just recieved my first badge from brock! I'll be the Pokemon master and it's a first step to the pokemon league!

There's no way you can catch a mankey before going after the Boulder Badge. This leads to the conclusion that you're playing one of those commercial shitversions with billions of pokemons in which they didn't even spend that much time inventing them.

I thought Butterfree was pretty simple, but then I saw a few fragments of the more recent pokiemans and oh my god, only children would buy that shit.

Rofl there is a way to catch mankey before the boulder badge. I've chatched him before second fight with Gary near the Pokemon League. In the grass. I'm the pokemon master, yo.

No, it's not possible in Red. Haven't played Blue but I assume that's the same.

There are no other Pokemon-versions worth mentioning. Except for Pokemon Black, the card game.

Unless you traded Mankey with a friend, it's not possible. I just looked it up and Mankey is only possible when you get to Misty's city.


Can't believe I'm actually discussing Pokemon's whereabouts at a saturday night...

You can catch Mankeys from the grass right before entering Pokemon League, in Red or Yellow

I tried to find Nidorina because I remember that a few years ago when I was young I played Pokemon red and I found Nidorina in the grass where I catched mankey :< But this time she didn't appear :(

It's not possible in Red. The only pokemon you can catch there are Pidgey, Rattata and Spearow. Oh, and Nidoran ofcourse!

Routes 5, 6, 7 & 8 are the routes leading to Saffron City from resp. Cerulean City, Vermilion City, Celadon City and Lavender Town.

So how the fuck can you get a Mankey before Pewter City when he's only around places AFTER Misty in Cerulean City?

You should pick up red, the original one, and try to catch mankey where I told you he is. Trust me, I've been bored throughout all of year 11 in school and I had the oldschool pokemons on my cellphone - emulated, so not modified. :)

I've seen a screenshot like that at the top of this journal already. Fire Red is a 100% copy of red when it comes to the Pokemon and where they appear... and I'll end this conversation since apparently you have a complex when it comes to someone telling you things you didn't know earlier.

Always. I like to play with Charmander and since I'm too lazy to train the bug thing up to 10 (Always forget english names for most Pokémon), I take either the one Nidoran that learns doublekick or Mankey.
