if there is no profile folder then join a random server and create your profile ingame.
if you want to do "/exec config.cfg" ingame to execute your config then it has to be in the main folder, but thats just fucking pointless when you can just put it in the profiles folder :)
once you put a new config_mp in your profile, the next time you launch cod4 it pops up a message that your settings have changed, and asks you the question if you want to reset these settings.
