after debate on vent yesterday, i've decided a journal should be posted where people post what they think of these shoes

I like it with Jeans, it combines much better than the sports shoes and the addidas/nike you find. It's also awesome with shorts, pretty comfortable

Those shoes are very popular in weight / powerlifting because they fits the profile of a "lifting shoes". They have a very small, thin, smooth sole that is very important in exercise such as Squat. I myself both Converse for the same effect, but I'm also going it daily since it's nice.

I powerlift at home so I tend to just go barefoot, but I'll be using my allstars when I start going to the gym again.

Knowing the vent you were on, I'd say everyone hates them there because they are so popular and not "underground". I like them, even though I've never owned a pair of them.

Converse All-Star is my favourite Shoe brand. It is some kind of symbole for me that shows looseness, style, exigent and its very rough in my opinnion! Snobbish trash people, and the other 'kinds' I hate would never buy a Converse shoe, and thats also some kind of message from me to them 'Go away, if you are not able to enjoy anything in your life!' All my friends who own * Shoes are all freakin fucking fantastic! :P

Unfortunately some groups prefer to wear * aswell... like punks. Not all of them are bad, but too many do idiot things (in bad meaning) and when you look at them and think how crap can they be the first thing you spot is that they wear * Shoe. They have bad effect on the brand.

i'm 19, why would i wear shoes casually? i'd be way overdressed

that said, i own 3 pairs of shoes anyway

no offence about the growing up thing, around here its just kids (13-16) that wear them, probably because all their friends do too.

imo theyre heavily overused and overrated, you can easily find better, cheaper and moar goodlookin shoes than that.

but, you probably shouldnt listen to me since im kind of a shoefascist.
