question?..

Since I signed the EULA for SLAC after I already downloaded and installed it..

QuoteFurther, in ProCD v. Zeidenberg, the license was ruled enforceable because it was necessary for the customer to assent to the terms of the agreement by clicking on an "I Agree" button in order to install the software. In Specht v. Netscape Communications Corp., however, the licensee was able to download and install the software without first being required to review and positively assent to the terms of the agreement, and so the license was held to be unenforceable.

Does this not make it unvalid?

don't think so since you can't use the software unless you agree to the eula, which can be argued as part2 of installation process, updates and such.
This quote only states downloading and installing.. not using.
But you do have a point, I already thought about that too.
I am still unsure though

its two different scenarios. the one you mentioned, pro cd v zeidenberg was about a guy violating the eula by giving out free copies of something he bought, which violates the copyrights and all that crap. besides the fact that it's free, the eula with slac is basically saying the program is not 100% foolproof so mistakes do happen and if things should happen we can't blame them.

You cannot use the software until you accept.
+ it's in beta stage. Beta stages aren't perfect.
