Avast scans my SLAC as a virus as well, anyway to fix that? (I have to turn my virus scanner off to play ET, not the best solution I would like to play with)

you can add it to avast's exception list, so it scans anything except slac

its more like 14 av´s dedect the slac.exe as trojan/malware

i somehow begin to trust it more since it looks more like false-positives :S
trojan: since its building a connection somewhere to.. and prpably sending/reciving data

besides that only the "crap" av´s seem to give warnings.. e.g. Avira has the highest false-positive dedection rate of all AV´s, followed by avast

on the other side only AV´s / FW´s with HIPS are reliable these days :P and sites like virustotal dont scan with HIPS

Hard to understand what you saying or writing.

If have problem with slac and antivirus programs then please use your brains like did 80% of the community. Its is easy to make exception in antivirus program or just dissable it when using slac.

With pb you can see what the hacker is using.
With slac you can't only a list and maybe he has a wrong DLL file in his ET folder?

First of all PB lags like crazy, it's totally non-playable. With slac I haven't really noticed any lags.
PB gives u just some random codes like "Multihack #1230912". That doesn't really say anything more about the hack.
Well, it wasn't slac that busted you in 2007 it was PB :) ?

Norton before nod? Haha, nod is the second best, just before kaspersky. And avast beats the shit out of avg

norton did some great improvements.. would rate it higher than nod after i have seen some new tests (reliable tests.. not such a shit like the link above).

kaspersky has a high dedection rate and is hard to kill.. but it slows down the system rly hard and also has some bugs with win7 x64

avast is good.. but avira is even better (it should be faster andh as a bit of higher dedection rate.. but not rly noticable :o)

i would even say NIS before KIS.

but after all this list is bullshit.. alot of good products are missing (Online Armor,Dr.Web,Comodo) aswell as free products

if u want to know which av to use, check av-comperaties.org or wildsecurity.com


online armor is one of the best firewall/av these days and its not even listed in that shit list :S
