puretrak talent & desk

i jsut recived my puretrak talent mousepad... and its fucking huge. i excpected that i would need to cut off a bit of it so if would fit on my desktop.. but i think the way i have it now (without cutting smth off) works well too.

some pictures of it + my desktop atm.

anybody else got a puretrak talent? show me screen of how you placed the mousepad on your desktop :)

ich bin grad erst mit der htl fertig geworden und komm im jänner zum heer.. da fehlt mir das geld zum ausziehen :(
warst du damals eigtl. auch bei mir drinnen? glaub da war ja noch keine dusche/klo/"küche" ? und sonst siehts da herinnen jetzt auch ziemlich anders aus :)

was ist denn das für laptop den du benutzt? bzw kannst du mir ein paar gute gaming laptops empfehlen (preis ist nicht so wichtig; um die 1200-1400€ aber kann theoretisch auch ein wenig teurer sein)

puh für den preis gibts einiges zur auswahl... allerdings:

die meisten (besonders die guten modelle) gibts oft nur in den USA. vorteil: billiger (auch mit den shipping).. man bezahlt auf computer/laptops keinen zoll wenns aus der USA kommt :)

nachteil: englische tastatur.. kostet aber nicht die welt die auf deutsch auszuwechseln bzw ist ja kein problem sich umzugewöhnen? sind nur die tasten falsch beschriftet aber sonst ist alles beim alten :) bzw ich hab zuhause sowieso eine externe tastatur angesteckt die ein deutsches layout hat.

meiner isnt asus g50vt-a1
dann gibts die asus g51
asus g70
asus g72

die gibts jeweils in unterschiedliche nausführungen (quadcore,dualcore,4gb ram,6gb ram,...). Gibt auch einiges von MSI.

hmm kk. ja es ist halt so dass ich bald nach graz zieh um mein studium zu beginnen und da ich meinen comp nicht mitnehmen werde hab ich gedacht ich leg mir einen laptop zu, welchen ich eben für das studium aber auch gleichzeitig für zu hause benutzen kann. daher sollte er auch was können. also du empfiehlst die asus und msi ausführungen oder wie?

es kommt halt drauf an was du willst.

willst du einen laptop mit gamer design bzw. es würde dich nicht stören? willst du nvidia oder ati ?

sehr schön finde ich den neuen "dell xps 1640".. allerdigns mag ich ATI nicht :P

ansonsten empfehle ich die asus g51/g60/g70/71/72/73
g5x = 15"
g6x = 16"
g7x = 17"

die gibts dann auch nochmal in viele unterschiedlichen ausführungen. von dual core über quadcore bis i7.. mit 4gb-6gb ram und in verschiedenen designs.
den hier finde ich z.b. nice :)

ja das mit dem design is natürlich so ne sache ^^. ich mein ich möcht nicht im hörsaal sitzen mit nem laptop, welcher leuchtet wie ne discokugel und beim raufbooten sich anhört wie ein flugzeug ;).
aber dennoch find ich den g60j realtiv gut. den g73jw hab ich mir schon einmal angesehn, jedoch gefällt mir der hintere abschnitt überhaupt nicht, sieht meiner meinung nach viel zu übertrieben und futuristisch aus.
was hälst du von den msi laptops gx740 und gx640? das wären nämlich jene die mir am besten von msi gefallen würden, da die ganz neuen(gx 660 und gt660) wieder in allen möglich farben blinken und die älteren modelle nicht mehr ganz up to date sind.

btw hättest du einen anbieter aus der usa (weil du eben gesagt hast, dass es billiger sei), wo ich solche laptops erwerben kann?

jop die zwei msi sehen recht aus .. vom design und preis/leistung :) aber zur qualität selbst (verarbeitung, support,...) kann ich dazu nix sagen :( kannst dich aber mal auf http://forum.notebookcheck.com erkundigen. da gibtsb estimmt auch einige reviews.

hm ein anfang wäre amazon.com :P .. aber frag am besten auch dort im forum im msi bereich nach. sind ja fast alles leute dort aus den USA.

why would i want a proper pc? i only play games which are no problem to play on my laptop (dualcore2duo 2,53ghz,4gb ram, geforce 9800M GS). ET,cod4,quakelive,f1 2010,dirt2,dragon age,mass effect,.. think these are the only games i play on the laptop.

i can play dirt2 on max settings.. same for the rest except f1 2010.. i only got that for the pc instead of the xbox360 because there arent any good steering wheels for the xbox360 :(

got a 42" plasma which i use for dirt/fifa/f1/...

and ye i could have gotten a way better pc but honestly.. i dont need it. not playing that much anymore.. and if then its mainly smth like ET,quakelive or cod4. for eyecandy stuff i could the xbox360. and since i needed a laptop everyday at school i thought i would sell my pc and get a laptop. also: i got this laptop for 2-3 years now. the only thing i replaces was one of the 500gb hdd´s with an 80gb ssd. Except that i didnt invest any money in it. As long as it isnt getting damaged i look forward to another 2 years or even more :)

i dont regret that buy at all.

cause its cheaper to replace a used and damaged external keyboard than the laptop keyboard (100$) ?

lol :P .. its an old airpressure gun from my grandfather. still working fine and shoots great. didnt had any other free place so for now its there in the corner of my desk.

It is the best cloth pad available. Only thing that comes close is the ZOWIE G-TF. It is hard to describe the feeling of the pad but it is almost like silk. It is great.

If you want I can check my old g5 on it. I am currently using DA and it works great with the talent but I can test the g5 and let you know how it goes.

the G5 doesn't have any issues on the Talent, but the mice which use the Avago 9500 sensor (G500, G9x, Xai) simply don't aim well on cloth.

hm i got a steelseries S&S before.. well the mousepad is way bigger which is rly nice.. it also feels very smooth but i have the feeling that its slowing down the mouse movement. so u need to get used to that but thats not rly a problem.

if i would have to decide again between s&s or talent.. i would take the talent
