vps hosting

hello, i´m currently looking for some way to get cheap: webhosting,bnc and propably some other stuff

now i wonder:

with a vps hostin i could have: webhosting multiple bnc´s / eggdrop , ventrilo/ts, but could i also use it for an ET gameserver?

also, someone knows cheap vps hosting sellers?

buy a vroot for aorund 15euros a month.
on those you can host a gameserver, ts/vent and psyBNC.

you can get one for 5euros and run psybnc and ts on it (as the quality of the server doesnt really matter for those).
just during primetime the gameserver would lagg as hell.
simply google and browse (maybe try and find some insight on it) cauz as far as i can tell the variety is vast and some have rules like "no gameservers allowed".
some research will need to be done...

Proplay.biz for vServers but be careful, they might need a lot of trafic if you install to much BNCs/a Gameserver, always check the available trafic/ask someone what their BNCs, TS and GS need a month (trafic wise)

lol they are rly cheap.. i could take one vserver with flatrate jsut for the gameserver and a normal one with 50gb traffic a month for my website / bnc / .. (since on the flatrate u arent allowed to use video sites,upload sites,... )

thanks for the link now i wonder how much ram an ET server would need

@edit: but actually it would be better if i have real unlimited traffic + a location somehwere, where i wont have problems with illegal torrent seeding lol :P

unlimited trafic is hard to find. Usualy only long-term customers get it.
But I get you can get a server located in Kongo with unlimited trafic which is made for filesharing...
If you want to upload movies and stuff better use a FTP server...

well i would want 1-2 year contract :)

how much does that server cost? well i jsut realized that this wont work out anyway..

cant have a server on a random location for illegal torrent & at the same time a good ping on it for an ET server ;D

Nice maths you did there!

either you want a good ping (located in GER, NL, UK) or you want filesharing (located in Kongo, Timbuktu, Pakistan)

i guess i will go with proplay then

anaconda said that 50gb traffic should be enough aswell as 512mb ram.. so propably is just fine :)

Their support and stuff is rly good.
I was customer their myself and I never had any problems with them.

Build your self a 1U server like i did and then look for co-location or vice versa :) Mine runs RtCW, ET, BNC's, Shoutcast and TS2 with NO problems what so ever.
