Since quite a while my mx518 "dies" during playing ET, which means it doesnt respond at all. If i reboot it works fine again (so prolly no hardwareissue).
I suspect the drivers(SetPoint) to be responsible. Thats why i uninstalled em.
When Setpoint was installed i couldnt recognize any mouse-acceleration. Now, with standard xp-drivers it's way to much to play (for me). I think that the mx518 works with 800dpi now, which causes the acceleration. So my questions are wether someone has an idea what the problem may cause, and if there is any way to lower the dpi of the mx518 without having setpoint installed.
thx in advance ... and no i wont format.
