watch collecting

wondering if anyone else here takes an interest in collecting watches - or simply what you wear

i don't have anything spectacular atm (young and yet to be rich) but this is my latest pickup and probably the highlight of my collection!

looking to pick up something nice in the next year or two, perhaps a zenith el primero but i will decide when the time comes!

dunno, price can vary depending on condition for these, they're hard to find though since they're vintage (60's era, not sure what the year of production was though)

usually 50 € (as said, no need to be a brand)
but after saving a bit again, i might be willing to invest up to 100€

i want the circlething to be veryvery thin, 1-2mm + black leather + very simple

vintage submariners are always going up in value, i'd keep it around as long as possible even if you're not gonna wear it

prefer the white dial version, great choice though

if you look around you may be able to find a longines grande classique for the same price though, which i think is much nicer

ye i didnt fully decide yet between white or black dial.. with the black leather bracelet i would take a white dial.. but since i have the metal bracelet (or want to have it) i think black would look better.. white is so.. normal.. standart.. boring ? :P

i dont like the bracelett of the longines grande classique at all :( also i want a totally new watch and not smth second hand.

buy the white dial with bracelet & a spare leather strap, then switch between the two

i hate the classique bracelet too, but i meant on strap :D

actually i always wanted to white dial.. then i watched "mr. and mrs. smith" and brad pitt always wears metal bracelet + black dial.. and i liked that :) so i thought i would get it with black dial :P

I'm don't really see the point in buying an expensive "normal" watch. I'm thinking about buying a new heartrate monitor for my running (and other sports) though.
Atm I have a simple polar, but I'm thinking about getting this:

Somehow you cut this part. So what you do with that ? Do you sell it? No. Just buy it and show ppl and EVEN post a journal about it. never said you bought it because of crossfire.

And I am a straight person wont hide why its bother me. Reason is that, you spend money on useless stuffs and ou are even proud of it. Really get something useful then show it.

And you know what I dont even believe you have a collection. Maybe few old bijou.

you know you can wear a watch and tell the time with it too? as i said, i don't have anything special but i have some vintage watches with character and value (an old USSR dress watch with a Luch 2209 movement & a citizen 7 star) and few others that hold no real collectors value, but i hope to expand it in time

i'm not sure what you're asking me to be quite honest

Bought this one just a few weeks ago. Really great thing about it, no one ask me the time anymore, the just watch from a small distance and see for themselves.
