same, just wait 10secs more
This delay is probably a result of the new SQLite databases Firefox uses being dealt with at shutdown. This seems to take a fairly significant amount of time in terms of process time, and is more evident on slower systems - like the Windows XP Home SP3 system I have running Firefox 3, which is only 650 mhz with 384 mb of RAM. On this system, a 1.83 ghz Mac mini with 1 gb of RAM, it's fairly negligible of a delay even though in today's terms this is a fairly modest system.

Use Google Chrome.
Chrome uses more resources though, so not really recommended on older systems :D

I don't know his system tho.

Chrome itself ain't using more than Firefox. It's Chrome plus its addons that are run in separate processes.
Also, regardless of resources usage, Chrome opens and works much faster than Firefox or Opera ever will.

Exactly my point smartass...

It works faster if you have enough resources yeah, otherwise it won't... That's only logical.

And my point is, if you use a naked Chrome, it ain't :).

Well, you're perhaps right. My Dell is quite fast, so I can't know about slower PCs.

Your name is the same as Steff Petersen. You 2 have buttsex?
hit ur monitor
Have the same on Opera, but me dont care yes
Use file - quit instead of clicking X
Have IE, MF and GC

google chrome = fastest :P
shit toaster
I would use Chrome instead of Firefox if only it didn't have unexplainable and unsolvable lag and eventually crashing issues on my desktop. Works perfectly fine on my laptop where I use it full time over FF...
