overclocking question

It could appear stupid to ask it but:

I would like to overclock my mobile processor (t6400 : core2duo 2.00ghz @ 2 MB cache & 800fsb ) and I know it's risky, will a change of 200 Mhz improve my fps on ET? because this is actually frustrating me MUCH and I don't have any desktop pc so this is my only option.

Cheers

200 MHz is nothing for that cpu. core2duos are pretty nicely clockable but u should know it that notebooks are meant to do pc jobs and u should look at the temperatures while clocking. Look the default temp and imo u can add +20 celsius to that but after that it's kinda killer already.
What resolution do you run at?

I connect my laptop to an external monitor (1680*1050) if I ran at native resolution I would probably get around 60 fps because even though my cpu is pretty strong (2.4ghz dual core) at higher resolutions my fps drops.

I am forced to run at a non-standard resolution (840*525) in order to maintain 125fps.
I run @ r_mode 4... and i got a 4650

Yes it would, you just have to watch the heat though.
I would not overclock a laptop cpu, not worth the gains you would get from it. What sort of fps you getting at the min?
125 steady in rly small maps, but grush n all the big maps it's kinda horrible

Just rub it before you use it, usually gets me going.
omg even his laptop is stronger than my cpu and he doesnt get stable fps xD

i love my 50 fps on grush and radar xD

i think that 200mhz wouldnt improve ur fps, but ofc u can try overclocking if u want!
