What about us low-skilled people?
Last saturday when I was feeling tipsy-wipsy, I thought that this issue needed a column, here are my remarks about it, did never continue about the rant, here are just the notes I though aboutWhat about us low-skilled ones?
NO CHANCE TO EFFECT THE FUTURE OF ET
just in cf-polls, nobody listens to us nor cares what we think. most of the people i play with havent even
seen high-players. just having a good time, playing with each others and spending time every now and then.
working or doing something real-thingies, not playing ET 24/7 or praccing. maybe some cups every now or then,
was different when ladders were active though. no need to cheat or be high-skilled.

you may have not been seeing us since we dont tend to spam crossfire all the time, nor that most of us even
use it. instead of ban-counters / comment-statistics we got clean cb-accounts (just one), lots of fun times,
WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE NOW
playing fun wars mostly, raped in cb-cups, (dont care about ESL), maybe some one-day-cups. nothing needs to
be changed for us, everything is just fine. stop caring about ETTV-coverage or sponsor interests, its not
like anyone is seriously going to pay attention to ET. we got lans that attract people, they have been
doing that for years, doesnt matter if it is 5on5 or 6on6, with mg or without. since this game is more
about the feeling than the best way to compete in it, at least for us normal people.
Won't even spell-check it now, nor that I would read what I wrote. I bet it was all relative to something. Blah, you get the idea.
Other things that annoy me
#1. Why does people want to play sp_delivery, serioysly? Just leanig and camping. Omagaad, so many headshots, pff. Especially on 3on3.
#2. After we deal with the issue #1, suddenly we got a kick / disconnect when we pick tc/beach/ice (sorry, no leaning there).
#3. Yet there is no linux-support for SLAC, been waiting it for "It will be around on next week" since september. Kinda sucks when playing with 3/6 linux-nerds, especially now when there are SLAC-only servers...
#4. Forgot it, SHUT UP!
#5. Come on, give us a break.

but my point exactly, people are so restricted to supply, goldrush, adlernest ,delivery in 3on3's that it's pathetic. and people who say that we are noobs because we like to play with side, that we can't handle only 1 way in and etc. hate that rule created by low+ for no side. It takes skill to defend and attack from more than 1 position not the other way around, nerds.
I completely and totally agree with this one. That map is the cancer of ET.
Nothing personal against it. Well, I do actually. Idea is nice, but pff. Would be sweet if you removed the roof from some parts of the stage, gave some ET for it perhaps.
Supply is far greater map also than delivery. The problem with supply is that its been played for too-many-fucking-years. In otherwords its overplayed. Rather make sw_oasis comeback and delete supply from the mappool
A lot of fake skill while asking for low, many cheaters too. Nowadays, med skill wars are easier to find.
#2 that's been since forever, nobody likes to learn or play any new maps (hardly anybody can really play ice/beach/tcbase, especially low-skilled players) te_escape2 for example would be the next goldrush atleast if not supply, but only if people will get to play it and get in to know with it :l
One of our fav map is Tc_base, even so called "med" people don't want to play that map.
On the other hand you are right when you say that people don't want to bother learning new maps. That's a pity.
And don't tell me it's because they suck!
Even in 7th div CB OC teams are not even low+ ...
Playing competition while being low is quite difficult and not entertaining. That's why there are less and less low teams which sign up in these big events...
The amount of skillfakers in 6th and 7th league isn't that big (WSF, HAYASTAN, cis, boozers, ????)
But I agree there isn't much to play for if you are low+ or lower.
Nice ranking at ladders & cups is all we can aim for :)
lately it's not even possible to join good scrimteams if you don't have "known" ex-teams.
Plus whats a skill ?
Everybody is different so why push us all in the same box you find war are they better then you just try your best. Are they weaker then you just try keeping you a good skill up.
So why whine about we search med- when your med or so on.
Its a game a some guys or girls are better then you and some 're not that's it.
I have recently played against you guys with a mix and I liked the attitude you brought to the game - no bullshit when you won, no bullshit when you lost, a fun and close game.
However, have to disagree with you in a few points.

Write a real column with real content and you will see people discussing your very points. Hey, I've done it recently too, and it even looks like some of my points were considered for CF 3.2.

I find it quite funny how you assume that delivery is a headshot only map. Have you ever paid an ounce of thought to ice's first stage? It's not that different from Delivery.
No MGC will pick up a low+ team or pay for LAN support.
Ladders/cups/EC/EMS/NC/LANS all with prizes for the highskillers/best clans out there, all trying to keep them motivated to keep on playing.
What is there for the lower clans?
I think that's what his point is about.
We are very happy about SPEEDLINK's Anti Cheat, in the past it was it worse if you were looking for a 3on3 low+.
And for the maps;
I agree with you about first stage of ET_ice, but deli is just a matter of opinion.

Aside that there actually are MGCs that pick up low+ clans, you just need to keep your eyes open because of course the prestigious ones won't, a big example are the nutsacks that joined dev1ous.net when they were low+/med-, the MGC folded later, but right now they are at a level and known-ness (lacking a better word) that it probably wouldn't be hard to find a new MGC for them.
And you can't see that this is exactly the point?
Stop organising Ladders/cups/EC/EMS/NC/LANS and you will get massive flame from good players, or they will just quit playing ET. There never was and prolly never will be stuff like that for lowskillers but we never whined about it (maybe some did, but not many), we just keep on playing, and why's that? because we love this game.
That's why we don't understand if there is something "big" coming up and a good clan sais "aah, low prizes, we wont play this" or a good player sais "aah, second again @ lan, i quit playing". They should realize how much effort people are doing to keep this game alive for them.

brains : its come when sm1 playing etpro to many time so he know where to camp :P
or where to shot .. spwantime .. throwing nades etc...
aim : it ofc with good pc so the person when he have 125 fps its izi for him to aim at head and good mouse so he don't got mouse lag...
