On October 28, 2010, Shudo suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage in the smoking area of the Kansai Main Line's Nara Station at around 6:00 AM, and was transported to a Nara, Nara hospital for emergency surgery. He died on the morning of October 29. He was 61 years old.
